Low iron is common, but the best treatment depends on why it’s low.
For many people, oral iron is the first option. In some cases, an iron infusion may be considered when oral iron isn’t tolerated, isn’t being absorbed well, isn’t improving levels adequately, or when iron needs to be replenished more efficiently.
Before recommending an iron infusion, a thorough assessment is important. This may include reviewing symptoms, health history, medications, menstrual blood loss, digestion, and bloodwork such as CBC, ferritin, iron, transferrin saturation, and TIBC.
The goal isn’t simply to “get more iron.”
The goal is to understand the cause of low iron, choose the most appropriate treatment option, and monitor progress safely.

For many people, anxiety can show up as over-preparing, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or feeling unable to rest without guilt.
From the outside, it may look like motivation, discipline, or reliability. Internally, it can feel like pressure, tension, and fear of disappointing others. That is why it can be helpful to ask: “What is driving me?”
Healthy motivation leaves room for rest and flexibility, but anxiety-driven productivity can feel like you are constantly trying to stay ahead of failure.
The goal is not to label ambition as bad. The goal is to notice when achievement becomes the only way you feel safe, valued, or in control.
Success matters.
Your nervous system matters too.
