Four years ago today, on June 17, 2022, Macy Boyce and Ethan Halford were taken from their loved ones because of an impaired driver. The lives of so many people were forever changed that day in a split second because of one person’s selfish and reckless decision to drive under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

Four years of heartbreak, anger, tears, and a constant longing for Macy and Ethan. Four years of asking why this happened and wishing they were still here.

Their loss is felt by everyone who knew and loved them. For four years, family and friends have mourned them and lived with the reality that they will never get to see them again.

One choice caused so much pain for so many people. Just one decision was enough to change countless lives forever.

Macy and Ethan made the world a brighter place. On June 17, 2022, the world lost some of its light when they were killed.

For the past four years, The ME Project has worked to help prevent other families and friends from experiencing this kind of loss. Unfortunately, impaired driving remains a problem, and far too many people understand this heartbreak.

Help us honour Macy and Ethan by pledging to drive sober. No one else should lose their life to such a senseless and preventable crime. Don’t be the reason a family or community has to mourn the loss of someone they love.

We also want to thank the Brown family for sending us these photos and for going to the memorial site at the beginning of June to clean up the area, repair spotlights, mow and w**d whack, replace flowers, repaint the letters, and update the photo of Macy and Ethan. Thank you as well to the farmer who continues to allow the memorial to remain for family and friends to visit.

Macy and Ethan, you are so loved and so very missed by so many people. We will never stop saying your names ❤️
