Weapons Of Mass Creation is a legacy album honoring the legendary Marvin "The Fly" Kee and his music as well as his contribution to funk and the local music community. This record is a collection of recordings from across 7 different studios that Marvin was working with. Although he did not get a chance to finish this record since his passing in 2023 his musical family has come together to finalize the project in his honour. This record means a lot to many Calgary musicians, friends and people that had the pleasure of knowing Marvin. The music showcases over 20 top-tier musicians, 5 amazing singers (known as the "Fly Girls"), a feature from legendary New York rapper Kool Keith, all put together around Marvin's personal brand of funk which features "The Fly" on both guitar and bass.



Spearheaded by Linda Kee (Marvin's sister) and producer Evgeniy Bykovets (Sargeant X Comrade) the record is 3 years in the making and we are very excited to be finally releasing this project on Mo Gravy Records. (Release date: June 21st, 2026)

If there was a ‘refresh’ button for the Funk, it would be FLYTRAP.
Flytrap is the brainchild of Calgary, AB, Canada musician/songwriter The Fly (Marvin Kee). The Flytrap sound is a cunning combination of neo-soul, acid jazz, old school rap, all laid on a bed of groove, garnished with a dash of metal and a fistfull of punk funk. ‘the fly’, a seventies child, has drawn from the world of ‘blaxploitation’, erotica cinema, Bond films, and kung fu flicks, seamlessly fused to create a new and unique brand of Funk.
