Prairie Sailor Medal Mounting

Here’s a few sets I had the privelage of mounting for a local framing shop.

While it may be tough to differentiate, the sets are mostly British, minus the South African set.

This was my first time mounting a set of medals to a South African! Really neat to see that they engraved each medal with the recipient’s details, something the UK and Canada neglected to do!

The Africa Service Medal was awarded to members of the Union Defence Forces, the South African Police and the South African Railways Police in recognition of 30 days of service during the war

A few cadet medals completed this weekend for a local Army Cadet unit south of Calgary, and a Sea Cadet Corps in Saskatchewan!
