Our Elders are important, beautiful, passionate, and inspiring. They are keys to the connections we have to our ancestors, traditions, and our past!!!
I, Teddy Manywouds, have had the privilege and blessing of making friends with First Nations and Indigenous people across the entire North American continent for over a decade. Through these connections, I have heard many express a desire to connect with Elders and grandparents. Especially from those who did not have or can no longer sit and talk with their elders and grandparents. I did not know my grandfathers on either the maternal or paternal side, and I am always told stories about who those men were and the impacts they left from their time here on earth. I know that we cannot bring back what was lost, and I know we can experience what we have while it is here.
The We Are Here Podcast season 2 is ten episodes of conversations with Elders from the Tsuut’ina and Stoney Nakoda First Nations that explore topics that have been important to so many of us who are still learning and those of us looking for those connections. Hosted by the amazing Nicole Robertson, please have a listen to some cherished elders from the Tsuut’ina and Stoney Nakoda Nations in stories I hope listeners will enjoy as much as we enjoyed having them as our guests. From G4 Justice, We Are Here season two is now available on all podcast streaming platforms. Sīyísgáàs (Thank you, Tsuut’ina) Îsniyés (Thank you, Stoney)

Addressing Homelessness: Community Efforts and Support Systems Understanding Indigenous Homelessness
🚨 Ending Human Trafficking & Protecting 2SLGBTQQIA+ Communities 🚨
In this powerful keynote, G4 Justice Director Teddy Manywounds speaks on the urgent need to address human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and the systemic failures that put Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people at risk.
🔴 The Reality:
📍 Indigenous women and Two-Spirit people are disproportionately targeted by traffickers.
📍 The Calls for Justice demand urgent action—but change is too slow.
📍 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals are at higher risk due to systemic discrimination and lack of protective policies.
🛑 What Needs to Happen:
✅ Policy reform to prevent trafficking and hold perpetrators accountable.
✅ Safe housing, financial resources, and legal protections for at-risk communities.
✅ More Indigenous-led solutions to support survivors and prevent further harm.
📲 Watch the full keynote & take action! This is not just a conversation—it’s a call to justice.
