Blood flow restriction training (BFR) is a paradigm shifting rehab intervention that is helping many patients recover faster and more fully from injury or surgery. Owens Recovery Science has been at the forefront of this movement, advocating for safety and evidenced based application since the launch of their certification course in 2015.
They’ll be offering their 1-day certification course at Acumen Health in Edmonton on  September 18th!

Meet Whitney

Whitney is one of our athletic therapists and strength coaches.
Whitney graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor in Kinesiology and a major in Athletic Therapy from Mount Royal University.
She is passionate about athletic movement and she loves breaking down movements and helping people learn how to move efficiently.
She has a soccer, track and football background and has worked with soccer, bobsled, basketball, football, volleyball, track, and hockey hockey athletes whether in reconditioning or performance at provincial, national , and International levels.

We are composed of Athletic Therapist, Chiropractors, and Strength & Conditioning coaches all working under the guidance of an Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. Jesse Slade Shantz.
