🚀 Defining the Types of Speed 💨

1️⃣ Acceleration - Acceleration is the rapid increase in velocity.

2️⃣ Deceleration - Often overlooked, deceleration is about reducing speed effectively. It's not just stopping; it's about doing so safely and efficiently, allowing for rapid recovery and movement reorientation.

3️⃣ Maximum Velocity - This is the highest speed and athlete can achieve. It's not just about reaching it but maintaining it with minimal energy expenditure. It's where technique, power, and endurance converge.

4️⃣ Change of Direction - Agility's partner. Not just changing the path but doing it swiftly and effectively. A closed skill where the outcome is known.

5️⃣ Agility - Agility combines speed, strength, and coordination. It's about moving quickly and gracefully adapting to changing scenarios easily and precisely.

6️⃣ Anticipation - The mental speed. Often underrated, anticipation is about predicting and reacting. The mental speed complements physical agility, allowing athletes to stay a step ahead.
