Best midlife crisis EVER.

Way too much awesome s**t happened this year. It feels like I’ve lived like, 3 normal years!

From just casual open decks nights, to my first paid gig, playing in Cancun, kicking off the L1CK nights, getting on a legit track release… there were so many joyful memories, if I list all of them my arthritis is gonna kick in.

There are too many beautiful people to shout out. Again, arthritis. If we have met and we conversed even just briefly, or more likely I forgot your name, know that you made a positive impact on my journey.

Goals were achieved, and more will come!

Load up your USBs / SD cards, L1CK x Steamed Jams is hosting our first ever daytime open decks! Join us on Saturday September 6th from 12pm-8pm at 438 Parliament St, Right smack in the middle of the Cabbagetown Festival happenings!

We’ll be doing 30 minute slots available, with a sign up sheet at the entrance.

We will have a somewhat older club standard setup: a pair of Pioneer CDJ2000NXS2’s and a Pioneer DJM-800 mixer.

All styles, genres and experience levels are welcome! This is a great opportunity to practice or try something new.

You will need to bring:

* A USB stick or SD card with your library prepped in Rekordbox. We’ll have computers on sight if you need help with this.

* Your headphones. These will not be provided.

* Good vibes! Come in with a positive attitude, hype up the other DJs, and be open to new musical experiences.

We will be live-streaming the entire day. If you prefer not to be on camera, please let one of us know and we’ll disable video during your set.

Please note:

* No alcohol will be served. This is not a bar. We’ll have cold bottled or tap water available. There’s going to be plenty of food/drink option all around us, so be sure to explore the festival!

* This is a q***r / BIPOC friendly space. Bigotry of any kind will not be tolerated.
