Packing for a busy weekend shooting with . Here are some of the things I pack with me when I’m shooting back to back days with unpredictable weather and locations as well as schedule.

📸Gear for stills
- Fuji XE4 and XE5 (I didn’t have it in me to put my 4 on the market and I’m glad I still have it! XE5 is gonna eat up cards this weekend)
- Variety of lenses (I like to have my 23 on one body and 56 on the other)
- Batteries
- Dual battery charger (just picked up a new charger as the XE series don’t come with one. Bonus the charger I got came with 2 extra batteries - what a deal. Hopefully they work)
- Cards (2 a day, backed up as we go)
- Flash (Never ever need one to shoot stills but just in case as you never know what might come up)
- Tool belt and bottle holder
- Laptop/card reader/hard drive
- Notebook

🍪Snacks
- I never really know what might be available and I no longer can just power through days like this without eating anymore so, gotta have snacks
- Not pictured: likely coffee, tea, boiled eggs and fruit

🧦Clothing (not pictured)
- Merino wool layer
- Puffy
- Rain Jacket
- Long Puffy Winter Coat (in case we’re outdoors for prolonged periods of time)
- Merino wool buff
- Toque
- Gloves
- In the car always is an extra pair of socks and rain pants

🔴Other
- Water bottle, reusable containers, spork
- Hand and toe warmers (you just never know how cold it’ll be. Even indoors)
- Emergency/first aid kit

I’m sure I’ve missed a few other items but here’s most of them :)

Social media is fast. We might scroll by, take a brief moment to look at an image and within seconds, we’ve moved on.

Having images in print slows things down. It’s tactile. We receive the information differently. With intention and purpose. Not in transit while waiting for our coffee order.

It was a great process working with Creative Director, Alice Cho on this session and it’s really great to see the photos in print.

You’re not one-dimensional. A Personality Portrait covers both your Professional LinkedIn profile as well as a couple casual portraits for Social Media such as Facebook or Instagram - heck or a portrait for your grandma to put on her mantle.

I will be hosting a Personality Portrait Mini session day on September 9. More info to come!
