Ride hailing passages in Vancouver will be soon have the option to be transported in a fuel cell-powered Toyota Mirai thanks to a partnership with Toyota and Lyft.

South Korea's government is planning to create three hydrogen-powered cities by 2022. They plan to transform 10% of the country's cities, counties and towns into hydrogen-powered ones by 2030, and 30% of them to hydrogen-power by 2040. Related infrastructure, such as 9.9 megawatt fuel cells, 670 hydrogen fuel-cell electric passenger vehicles and 30 buses, will be available in the planned cities.

After much anticipation, Greenlight COO, Christian Bosio, has purchased a hydrogen fuel cell car. The Toyota Mirai is now available to Metro Vancouver drivers, who refuel in south Vancouver at Shell. A second fueling station is set to open soon at a Shell station in Burnaby near BCIT. Greenlight staff look forward to adding additional fuel cell cars to our stable, like the Hyundai Nexo, Honda Clarity and Mercedes Benz GLC F-Cell, as they become available in our region.
