It covers eight categories and supporting quality elements that can be used to benchmark the features of a blended learning course against a set of qualifiers. The Rubric should be used iteratively and throughout the design and subsequent delivery of a blended learning course. Great tips for enhancing instructor presence when teaching online.

Additionally, when presenting information through video or multimedia, a visible instructor who gestures, or provides other visible cues to guide attention can support learning.

Students deserve privacy in these times of remote teaching. Just because students faces are seen, does not mean teachers can tell they are learning!

We made/make many attributions for why a zoom camera may not be on in a remote class. Here is some data highlighting key differences between underrepresented minoritized students and non-URM. Also note, the general category of 'not paying full attention' is at the bottom of list.
