A few important reminders:
• Your test results must be less than 2 years old when you submit your application
• The test must be taken in person
• You must show your ability in the following categories: reading, writing, listening, and speaking

📌 What score do you need?
It depends on your program of study. CLB 7 / NCLC 7, CLB 5 / NCLC 5 in all categories, or no requirement at all.
Please refer to the images above for the CLB/NCLC score conversions per test.
A simple mistake, like submitting the wrong test or misunderstanding the required score, can lead to refusal.

This complex PGWP case involved an international student who could not complete a required co-op term as scheduled because she was unable to secure a placement.

It had a risk of unauthorized break in studies and non-compliance with study permit conditions because the term was effectively deferred to a later date, and the school was unable to issue a letter providing authorized leave of absence (the DLI did not consider this a gap in studies).
