Progress report!

Nearly there! I had to leave this job to wait for the stone sills, countertops, and bench to be installed before finishing the subway tiles. I've still got a bit of filling in to do and a lot of grouting, but I'm really proud of this so far! A lot of time went into creating a wrap effect around the outside corners and into the niche; each edge is hand polished and consistently spaced for grouting later. Both showers feature a curbless shower design using large format tiles. The linear drain utilizes a tileable grate, which makes for a near invisible drainage system. All tiles are from our friends at @edentileit and all underlays and drainage systems manufactured by @schlutersystemsna . Here's a curbless shower I am working on. Because of the joist location, a center drain was the best option on this one. But to keep the large format tiles flowing throughout the whole bathroom, you must make relief cuts in order to achieve proper drainage and adequate slope toward the drain. Centering off the drain and polishing the ripped tile edges created a flawless, factory like finish with a beautiful symmetrical design. All the tiles and shower waterproofing systems on this project were provided by our friends at Eden Tile. All cuts made easy by the Ridgid "The Beast" wet tile saw. I've used a lot of wet saws, but with the rolling stand and its vast versatility, it is my personal favourite saw.
