Muppet Racing Team SOAR Round 2
The "thank gawd that's over with" edition....
Screaming Alien.... at least 50% of muppets do not approve! came and supported the team but chose not to ride this configuration.
had a great qualifying effort, and is destroying his previous PB's every time he goes out.... Finishing 9th of 23 with an impressive and steady 1.09 pace
Amy and Chase had a much different result.
qualifier was under wet conditions... not raining, but a puddle laiden track, which was drying quickly... the call was made to go for rains... Amy had been out before in much wetter weather and was confident she could do well. Perhaps a bit overconfident. First lap, running in 4th setting up to make a pass..... it did not end well. There is video coming soon.
westmoreland qualifier started well and ended up in much the same fashion, sliding across the pavement and dirt.
Race Day was a quiet affair.... the 45+ temperatures were simply too risky for the team to try and ride with fresh injuries and mental distractions.
Many thanks to our sponsors.

Soar 6 & 7 Race report Part 4 – The Final Race
Better late than never?
Chase was well situated in both his classes for podium finishes as well as championship points. AM Superbike was the 5th race of the day… Chase started in 2nd , finished 2nd & ended the season in 2nd overall… earning his Pro status for 2025… not too shabby.
The final race, the 7th race of the day Vintage… Brock & Chase were both up.
Having 1 race out on track between his 2 scheduled races, Chase hydrated, rested & tried to remain calm for those 15 minutes… Starting on the grid in 2nd he knew what he had to do.
It was a 2 bike race right from the start… 2 competitors turn after turn, lap after lap. Swapping positions with some predictability, the carousel, dog-leg & front straight were dominated by chase… crossing the finish line in 1st place on 7 occasions & he ran the fastest lap of the race.
Lap # 9 of 10
Coming off the back stretch into the carousel there was a “Racing Incident”.
This resulted in a significantly damaged motorcycle & broken foot for Chase.
Brock came home in 5th place, in the race & the championship, a great showing in his first year on the GSXR
Muppets were raised well … if you don’t have anything good to say – don’t say it… so we wont. We will say – s**t happens, that’s racing & we as a team, rode our asses off!
We are extremely proud of all our Team members. We had an incredibly satisfying season. We would like to thank our sponsors for their support & look forward to continued relationships for 2025
Stay tuned 2025 season reports coming!!

Soar 6 & 7 Race report Part 3 – Fortune & Failure
Better late than never?
Sunday…. Last race day of the 2024 season…
Omar started 8th in LW Superbike & held his ground, finishing the race & the season in 8th A great season, improving all along the way….
Brock started the last Vintage race in 5th place & finished the race & the season also in 5th a great showing in his first year on the GSXR
Amy started the grid in 3rd – having lost a championship position the day before.
Riding a borrowed honda, after blowing up her Kawi, was like riding a camel in a lake…. Feeling completely foreign, hard to handle & slow as… she was nervous & anxious, knowing she had to just throw a leg over & send it!
It ended up being some of the best racing she had done all season. Off her regular pace by 3-5 seconds, she had #171 Angela & #414 Jessica nipping at her heals every corner & making serious attempts to pass every lap. Throwing the honda into the carousel deeper than anyone thought possible, she held them off. #171 finally got by her on lap 8, but heading into lap 9 Amy took it back… knowing if she gave up her 4th running place it would be all over for the championship…. Then it happened…. With 1 lap to go, relegated to 5th… Amy saw the seasons efforts dissipate… she hung in there for the 5th place finish. As disappointed as she felt at the outcome – it was offset by the adrenaline of the tightest, most competitive racing she had done all season. Determined NOT to be a sore loser, she congratulated her opponents, and settled in believing she had finished 4th overall for the season.
It wasn’t until that afternoon, with only 3 races left for the day, that she looked at the point standings…. Math never being Amy’s strong suit – she actually did pull off 3rd place over all by ONE POINT!!
Stay tuned for our Final Report of the 2024 racing action!
