The striking installation depicted showcases a convergence of artistic innovation and sustainable technology, featuring large-scale Aeolian harps positioned along a Greek coastal walkway. Named for Ae**us, the ancient Greek god of the wind, these instruments harness the natural power of the breeze to generate ethereal, harmonic musical tones. Furthermore, the design integrates a functional renewable energy component, allowing the movement of the wind-activated strings to generate electricity. This pioneering approach transforms a public art sculpture into a dual-purpose green technology asset, offering a compelling model for integrating sustainable power generation with site-specific, engaging cultural experiences in coastal environments.

Matteo Paz, a high schooler from Pasadena, created a machine learning model to re-analyze billions of observations from NASA’s retired NEOWISE telescope. He uncovered about 1.5 million previously unknown celestial objects, variable stars, quasars, supernova candidates and won $250,000 in the 2025 Regeneron Science Talent Search. His catalog is already opening new paths for scientists to explore the universe’s hidden corners.
