Music on the Riverbank continues this Thursday! Join us at Pijinuiskaq Park at 6:30 p.m. for the next artist in our lineup: Mo and the Boys!

Singer-songwriter Mo Gave brings a rich mix of blues, folk, rock, and country, backed by seasoned musicians Mike Mackinnon and Stewart Franck. Expect original songs that evoke everyday life experiences, along with well-loved classics.

We hope to see you there! 🎶

Happy Friday!

I want to start by congratulating our South Shore Health foundation and staff team as the new MRI is now operational at South Shore Regional Hospital. This is huge for patient diagnostics and care and a lot of people worked very hard to make that happen! Thank you to all those who advocated, donated and helped in so many ways to see this day arrive.

I also want to congratulate Small World Learning Centre on their expansion and opening of 86 new spaces. This is so important for our community. Without childcare we cannot attract or retain young people and families, doctors or other important workers across any and all sectors of our local economy. The town was thrilled to be able to provide three acres of land for this project and I want to thank all those who made this happen and congratulate Donna, her staff and board at Small World for all their efforts.

There continues to be so much happening around our community this weekend and while I can’t ever post everything here, please be sure to check out the events tab or the Downtown Bridgewater page for even more that is happening in the area.

Finally I want to wish my amazing wife a very happy 29th anniversary this Sunday! I am so thankful for you for all your support.

Have a great weekend everyone!

As the weekend arrives I want to thank everyone for their support of the friends and families impacted by the fire as well as the support and appreciation of our first responders. Fire, police, EHS and dispatchers all hear your encouragement so thank you.

I’m at a loss today for what to put in a post so I will just remind folks that there are multiple events and activities happening around the community and you can find a lot of those on the events tab either in the town app or website.

I hope you are able to decompress this weekend and hopefully enjoy the weather on Sunday that looks great.
