To love a Labrador fully is to love something so open and so joyful that it reshapes what you thought love was capable of being. They pour themselves into every moment with you, every walk, every greeting, every quiet evening on the couch with a completeness that is both beautiful and heartbreaking to witness. And to stay with them all the way to the end, to be the person they trust through their very last moments, is the most painful and most profound gift you can give. The grief that follows is the weight of all that love with nowhere left to go. But you would carry it forever because loving them fully was the greatest thing you ever did.
