Little things make the biggest difference during a treatment ✨

From a heated table, low lighting, chill music, everything in my treatment room is designed to make you feel comfortable and relaxed.

When the environment feels welcoming and safe, your nervous system can switch from stress mode to relaxation mode.

whether your coming in for a relaxing massage, acupuncture or deep tissue, the goal is always the same, helping your body feel lighter, calmer and more at home.

just a few common myths we’ve all heard and the truth behind them.

1. “No pain, No gain”
🙅🏻‍♀️ Truth: Pain isn’t a sign of an effective massage. Pain actually triggers a sympathetic nervous system response, which causes muscles to tense up to protect themselves. This completely defeats the purpose of the treatment. A good therapist works within your comfort level to release tension safely.

2. “Massage is only for relaxation.”
🙅🏻‍♀️Truth: While it feels great in the moment, regular massages have cumulative, measurable benefits. They help with chronic pain, post-injury, injury prevention, improving circulation, and athletic performance, reduces stress hormones like cortisol.

3. “Massages flush out toxins.”
🙅🏻‍♀️ Truth: You have organs like a liver and kidneys that look after removing toxins from your body. While drinking water after a treatment is always a good habit for general hydration, it isn’t “flushing” away anything that the massage dislodged.

4. “Massages can break down knots.”
🙅🏻‍♀️Truth: Muscle fibres don’t tie themselves into actual knots. What feels like a hard lump is usually a localized area of muscle fibres in a constant state of contraction, often due to neural overload, fatigue, or poor blood flow. Massage helps by stimulating neurological pathways, increasing local circulation, and encouraging the nervous system to let the muscle relax—not by physically grinding it flat.
