Brandon Curling Club

The Brandon Curling Club would like to congratulate Shawn Taylor on being awarded an Honorary Life Membership with Curl Manitoba. The award is presented in appreciation for Shawn's contributions to the game of curling not only in Brandon but across Manitoba.

We would also like to congratulate Grant Brown from the Burntwood Club in Thompson for also receiving the Honorary Life Membership Award. Brown is a former member of the Brandon Curling Club and is a former teammate of Shawn's

And congratulations to Lynn Fallis Kurz on her Honorary Life Membership Award.

The boards are out, rocks have been put away, and another season at the Brandon Curling Club has officially come to a close.

Thank you to all our members for curling with us this season. It was a challenging season and we thank you for your patience and sticking with us as we navigated through some difficult situations. Without you we don't have a club.

Thanks to the many volunteers who helped us through the season. We appreciate all the work you do for the club.

Thanks to our fantastic ice team - Terry MacNamee, Osten Sahulka, and Bennett Ashmead for all your work in providing outstanding ice all year. And thanks to Morghan Wark for helping out when required.

To all our sponsors: Thanks for your generous support once again. Your support helps us provide programs and allows us to attract different events to the club.

Thanks to the Keystone Centre management and staff for all the help and cooperation. It's great working with you.

The 2026 Credit Unions of Manitoba Masters Curling Provincials wrapped up Sunday at the Carberry and Riverview Curling Clubs. Congratulations to Team Neufeld who won the Men's Championship and Team Colwell who won the Women's. Good luck at the Nationals.

Thank you to all the teams who participated. You provided some great action for the fans. It was fantastic curling. We also thank you for your patience and understanding with the sudden changes to the schedule and venues.

A BIG thank you to the Carberry and Riverview Curling Clubs for accepting to host the championships on short notice. Both clubs did outstanding jobs. Thank you to Jenn McMechan from Riverview and Rob Van Kommer from Carberry for all your efforts. We can't thank you enough.

Thanks to Curl Manitoba for all the work in finding clubs to host the championships after the unexpected shutdown of the ice plant at the Brandon Curling Club.

Thanks to the Ice Tech crews led by Terry MacNamee in Carberry and Chris Church at Riverview for providing great ice for the curlers
