Job Description / Duties

What will you be doing?

The Auto & Property Insurance Specialist is primarily responsible for processing auto insurance policies / Autopac, and a variety of personal lines policies and insurance contracts related to residential homes and personal belongings.

Key Responsibilities:

This position processes a variety of personal lines policies and insurance contracts related to residential homes and personal belongings.

This position will process all Autopac transactions.

Processes personal lines policies and contracts often including items such as; evaluators, residential and recreational property, boats and other personal pleasure craft.

Identifies client needs and provides information on basic insurance products such as risk coverage, benefits and other policy features best suited to meet the client's needs; works with clients to manage and reduce their risk.

Recommends and implements a client’s insurance coverage, premiums and advises of payment plans available.

Able to utilize Insurance company portal as well as TBW (The Brokers Workstation) to quote, endorse, and complete a policy, as well as write new personal lines policies.

Maintains thorough knowledge of insurance company wordings / coverages, and adhere to organizational policies and procedures on risk management, confidentiality, security and fraud prevention.

Qualifications / Required Skills
What do you need?

Completed Level 2 Brokers Insurance license
Completed all MPI courses

Thorough understanding of MPI/Autopac transactions as well as personal lines property coverages

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy

Ability to perform well under pressure

Ability to prioritize using sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions

Ability to follow standardized policies and procedures

Knowledge of risk management within the insurance industry

Proficient computer skills

What we provide:

Full time / permanent salaried position.
Competitive salary commensurate with experience (45-60k per year)

Office hours: Monday – Friday = 8:30am – 5:30pm
