Your pelvic floor is listening to your nervous system.

Here's what nobody tells you:
If your nervous system is upregulated… your pelvic floor won’t be able to heal well resulting in many symptoms.

traumatic birth ➡️ survival mode
sleep deprivation ➡️ survival mode
hypervigilance ➡️ never resting ➡️ survival mode
feeding struggles ➡️ chronic stress ➡️ survival mode
no support ➡️ never feeling safe ➡️ survival mode
your pelvic floor is holding ALL of that

tight jaw? shallow breathing? constantly bracing? Chronic pain? tight pelvic floor?

When your nervous system is stuck in fight/flight:
• muscles stay contracted
• breathing stays shallow
• body stays in protection mode
• pelvic floor literally CAN’T relax

You are NOT failing at exercising. your nervous system needs healing first.

It might need permission to REST 💆‍♀️

Healing isn’t always about doing more.
