Honoring the Legacy of Vimy Ridge

Standing at the heights of Vimy Ridge, it’s impossible not to feel the weight of history. While this site is a foundational pillar of Canadian identity, it also holds the sacred memory of a diverse brotherhood of arms that fought across these fields.

Among those brave souls were the Sikh soldiers, whose contributions to the Allied effort are a profound testament to courage and sacrifice. Far from home, these warriors fought with unparalleled grit in the face of brutal conditions. In the muddy trenches and across the "no man's land" of the Western Front, many gave their lives, their legacy now woven into the very soil of France.

Today, we remember all those who stood firm on this ridge. Their sacrifice ensured the freedoms we hold dear, reminding us that bravery knows no borders.
