I’ve been asked several times, and the simple answer is that it’s a name that captures the region. 🍁

This fictional town was shaped and inspired by the landscape of northwestern Ontario’s island strewn wilderness. 🦊

It’s a place that rests among glittering channels and shadowed inlets where more than ten thousand islands rise from dark, fresh water. 🛶

The forests grew thick, the horizons stretch wide, and the lake reflects both the brilliance of the sky and the people who live there. 🌌

In the spirit of beloved mystery writers, each novel in the Lake Pines Mystery Series invites you to follow clues, question alibis, and to navigate red herrings that drift like the mist over Lake of the Woods. 💫
