We were so honoured to do this podcast and had an absolute blast!

Going into business with a friend, spouse or family member can be a slippery slope. But this dynamic mother-daughter duo are making it work with their beloved business, SweetCheeks Kitchen in Destination Almonte. Shasha, Kristen’s mom, added that not everyone has good days and it takes respect and patience with one another in order to run a professional and successful business when your business partner is also family.

Our episode with these ladies came out last August, and they are absolutely killing it! They were so humble as they shared how they’ve taken their gluten-free and vegan baked goods biz and have expanded into local retailers, stores and even grocery stores across Ontario. I imagine more is going beyond the scenes with these two cheekies and if you haven’t tried their delicious cakes, cookies, squares, cupcakes, muffins and more, you can find them across Lanark County and the Ottawa Valley!
