This number includes the area where the wildfire has burned, where current fire activity is happening and where the wildfire has spread.

Over half of Alberta's wildfires are detected because of public reporting.

If you see smoke or fire in the forest, call 310-FIRE (3473) to report it.Take note of your location before calling. Information including an address, landmark or nearby road will help determine the wildfire’s exact location.
