Happy Sunday! Another beautiful morning. It would be better without the smoke but at least we aren’t in a wildfire zone. Our season is almost done. We have no upick. We will take orders for potatoes, red and golden beets as well as carrots and zucchini. We will dig and then have you pick up the order at a prearranged time. Potato varieties available at this time are white/cream fingerlings, reds and russets. $2/lb. I’ll share some pictures of my favourite time of year. I love the look of the fields with swaths of grain. The combines working well into the night. The stacks of hay. The gathering of vegetables for freezing, pickling. The cooler nights and how different the air smells. The looking forward to the slower pace that winter brings. The gathering of the geese as they ready themselves for the flight south. So many jobs to complete while the weather is nice but not at such a hectic pace as in the spring and summer. I will miss all of the people who have supported us over the summer and look forward to seeing you next season. To those who we couldn’t squeeze into the schedule, I am sorry. I will post a picture of our work force. A work force of 3 that at sometimes is overwhelmed by the volume of work required! 2 seniors and one 16 year old. Thank you to everyone for their kindness and patience.

Just a quick message to let everyone know that we will be closed for a family function on Thursday August 14 and Friday August 15. Yay for family! Nothing brings me more happiness than having everyone together. We will be ready to rock and roll on Saturday. By appointment of course! Chokecherries are ready to pick for anyone who loves chokecherry jelly and syrup. Our summer raspberries and saskatoons are finished for the season. The fall raspberries will be ready about August 30th. Yellow and green beans, snow peas, red and golden beets, potatoes, swiss chard and dill are all ready now.

Happy maybe holiday Monday for some! The sun is shining and I hope it keeps doing that all week. The rain on Saturday and Sunday has once again left us with mud in the raspberries. Saskatoons are not as muddy. Of course the moisture has brought out the mosquitoes. May we have some light breezes (not gale force wind) to keep the mosquitoes at bay. Lots of saskatoons and still a good supply of raspberries for picking. Flowers are looking great and the vegetables are doing well. Yellow and green beans, swiss chard, snow peas, spinach, red and yellow beets, as well as 4 varieties of potatoes. We do not have shelling peas available. Pictures to follow! Enjoy the sunshine😎

Happy Friday! It is a beautiful day and all is well in our world.
We are anticipating that by July 21 we should have saskatoons. Note the should. Mother Nature is completely in charge. Beets, swiss chard, potatoes and raspberries should be ready by then as well.
We are a small family farm and do everything by appointment. We operate on a cash only basis. I will post prices next week.
Enjoy the weekend😎
