The CC-330 is the RCAF’s designation for the Airbus A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT). This fleet is replacing the aging CC-150 Polaris (Airbus A310) and provides a massive leap in range, capacity, and versatility.

Role: Strategic airlift, air-to-air refueling (AAR), aeromedical evacuation, and VIP transport.

Fleet Composition: 9 aircraft total (5 repurposed commercial A330-200s and 4 factory-new MRTTs).

Refueling Capability: Equipped with both hose-and-drogue pods and a flying boom, allowing it to refuel everything from RCAF CF-188 Hornets and F-35s to allied NATO aircraft.

The aircraft pictured is #003, currently based in Ottawa, seen arriving here into Calgary for a go-around exercise and then another approach and landing.
