Just a micro reflection on 2025, since we’re already well into 2026.

It feels like a year I’ll think about for a long time, one I might someday look back on as the starting point of some incredible thing that unfolds ten years from now. This year, I found myself reflecting on starting my business back in 2015, and I can’t help but wonder what I’ll be reflecting on in 2035.

Whatever it may be, I hope I hold the coming decade with the same appreciation and reverence I now hold for the past one.

And now a bigger reflection, since I’m such a yapper!

This year, I grew more deeply passionate about music, especially in my wedding films, but also just in general. Being brought into the .sound world has been such an incredible privilege, and I can’t wait to see what’s ahead.

I also went through a full rebrand, which really made me think about why what I do matters and why I’m a wedding videographer in the first place. Thank God for .

I took a trip to Italy, which reminded me how important breaks are and taught me that the next vacation I take will absolutely be to an all-inclusive 😬 not 7 days sprinting around Italy like a maniac!

Through decorating for Stranger Things Volume 2, I also realized how much I love doing random things like that and having fun just for the sake of fun. That’s something I really want to lean into more in 2026.

I also kicked off the year with the .experience. I love the environment they’re creating for people to truly dig deep and live a full life. Such an encouraging way to start the year.

I have been inspired both personally and professionally by my experience at the ROAM retreat a few weeks ago! I was deeply moved by every person who attended; the shared values of community, absence of ego, and willingness to be vulnerable were so apparent. Something inside me shifted with every conversation and talk. By the end of the week, I found myself in tears on the beach, sobbing in front of people who had been strangers to me less than 72 hours before! The best way to describe it is that I feel as though I’ve been spared from something. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to pinpoint exactly what it is—whether it’s extreme burnout, a life of ego-based creativity, or something else—I’ll never know. What I do know is this: I’m a better person for having been around those people. I’m a more creative person for being encouraged by so many amazing creatives, and I will always owe some part of whatever happens in my life to the time spent in Manzanita for three days in August 2024. From the deepest part of my heart, thank you! ❤️

A shot of the whole team and me getting all rested up for wedding season! It’s going to be a busy one and I’m so excited for it!

Fun fact about me is that 90% of the time I shoot weddings all by myself! There are pros and cons to not having a second shooter and trust me when I say that there is a point at every wedding that I wish I had one. But, solo shooting has become so normal to me is hard to imagine not shooting alone on a wedding day!

HOWEVER, that being said it’s something I’m starting to considering seriously for my 2024 season! So, if you’ve read this far there is a good chance that you might be a videographer or aspiring videographer. If you’re interested in potentially working with me in the future, shoot me DM.
