Little recap from 2024, quality over quantity this year. So glad I managed to get out and do some aviation stuff this year 🔥📸 thanks to all I met and spent time with either at the fence or at the airshows, can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store!

Now this was special! 👌 Unbelievable scenes on Wednesday for what would have been the JMR-1 Philippine Mars final departure from Sproat lake in BC. Owned by Coulson aviation the crew and maintainers have been working tirelessly to get this unique and beautiful aircraft back to flying condition for her final flight the US and then to her final resting place at the Pima air and space museum in Arizona. Unfortunately or fortunately (for the locals) she had an oil pressure problem on the No.2 engine which they shut down, feathered in flight and returned home to Sproat lake. Still can’t believe I managed to see her, what a sight and sound to behold! 🔥🤘📸

Now this was special! Unbelievable scenes on Wednesday to see for what would have been its final departure of the JRM-1 Philippine Mars from Sproat lake in BC. Unfortunately or fortunately (for the locals) it had to return due to low oil pressure on the No.2 engine which the crew shut down and feathered and returned safely back to Sproat lake for further maintenance. Still can’t believe I managed to see her what a sight and sound to behold! 👌 📸

An early morning start for the B52s didn’t work as they cancelled due to de-icing problems. Nevertheless it’s always fantastic to see the U2 Dragon lady work her magic ✨ on the early morning launch and recovery. Great to see all the crew work and prep the aircraft 🔥🐉 👌📸🤘

Great couple days at the fence at RAF Lossiemouth watching all the local movements! Plenty of P8 action with the Russian spy ship in the English Channel.
