🌍 World Tourism Day Reflection

This year’s theme, Tourism and Sustainable Transformation, could not have been more relevant to our journey.

On the 27th of September, while the world celebrated, our team was deep in Mababe, where connectivity is almost non-existent, but the connection to nature and culture is stronger than anywhere else. This is part of the reality communities face, and part of the story we are committed to telling.

From wildlife to culture, our mission through 100 People, 100 Places: A Nation of Stories is to use digital storytelling to transform how we see and experience Botswana.

We are proud to host the Mababe Zokotsama Community Development Trust (MZCDT) at the Consumer Fair 2025 (25–31 August). Founded in 2000, MZCDT empowers the Mababe community through sustainable tourism and manages the NG41 concession, home to campsites, safari lodges, and conservation initiatives.

Mababe Zokotsama Community Development Trust attended a 2 day training that aimed to equip The newly voted board of Trustees with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively fulfill their duties and responsibilities.

The training covered a wide range of topics including gorvernance ,financial management,legal compliance and strategic planning to help trustees understand the role of a Trustee and contribute to the organisation s success.
