England, I get it now

Photos from Uncle Pappy's post 27/05/2026

I’ve never had such a good time riding on the left side of the road.
There isn’t a better way to see London. Crossing Tower Bridge with the wind in your face, looking out over the Thames to see that ole skyline. Then out into the country, through winding shaded two-lanes. The canopies over the road fill the air with the most wonderful mossy smell that hits just as the darkness of the foliage overtakes you. I flip on my brights to look for waterspots on the curves, since there are places do damp it seems water has never stopped dripping from the gnarled and twisted branches overhead. I can’t thank for having me, this Tracker 400 was a dream. (Also shoutout to my new pal for being so welcoming and cool on the ride)

Embraced the beauty of the haunting, gray afternoons here in England. Strolled muddy paths on old slanted hillsides feeling the weight of a thousand centuries around me. It reminded me a bit of Appalachia. There’s a weight in the air, the feeling of a million footfalls beneath mine, even on the most untrodden paths. Of course this is the land of witches and wizards and a whole world of unimaginable things which reside in the shadows of our minds.

Spent the day riding across the English countryside. High on hills, overlooking beautiful sprawling farms, ancient stone walls, and all manner of muted greens stretching to the horizon beneath the damp, drizzly, November of a sky. -5/18/26

Make the difference you want to make in the way that only you can. Huge thank you to and for letting me be a part of this movement to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer and men’s mental health. I can’t think of a better way to see this beautiful city and make a positive difference 🙏🏼

Nauseous and foggy with sleep deprivation but alive with the excitement of stepping foot on a new continent. London is cold, gray, and gorgeous.

LONDON, this Sunday (the 17th), I’m super excited to say I’ll be on team for the official .
As a huge huge fan of I’m honored. Riders from all over the world cruise the streets to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health, and I’m gonna be one of them. If you’re in London come out or check if there’s an event near you!

The haunting silence of camping on a snowy night,
The bliss of birdsong at sunrise
