INVITATION TO APPLY FOR AN INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER POSITION

Multimedia Graphix is seeking a competent and experienced machinist to operate CNC and laser routers to cut sign components according to layouts and artwork, while using computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions.

They must be responsible and comply with all safety guidelines. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are also essential.

The goal is to produce high quality parts and materials by programming machines to perform the right operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Setup and operate CNC and laser cutting and engraving machines; cut &engrave various materials to make signage components.
• Work cooperatively with other departments to ensure efficient production and meet deadlines.
• Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
• Utilize CNC software to convert vector artwork into sign specific cut files.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
• Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications
• Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts
• Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
• Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality Requirements;
• Proven experience as a CNC Operator
• Convert Corel Draw files To specific cut files or have basic knowledge on Corel draw
• Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling
• Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming
• An eye for detail
• Result-driven approach
• Good communication abilities
• Must have an Omang

CNC ROUTER OPERATOR

Requirements:

• Must possess a Botswana Omang
• Minimum of 3 years proven experience as a CNC Operator.
• Convert Corel Draw files to specific cut files or have basic knowledge on Corel draw.
• Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling.
• Computer savvy.
• An eye for detail and result-driven approach.
• Good communication abilities.
• Although not essential a drivers license would be advantageous .
