As we mark the close of the Day of the African Child, I am reminded that our greatest investment is not in buildings, roads, or institutions, but in our children.

Today, we celebrate their laughter, their curiosity, their dreams, and the limitless potential they carry within them. These moments of joy captured here are more than photographs; they are a glimpse into the future we are building together.

May we continue to nurture young minds, expand opportunities, and create a Botswana where every child can learn, thrive, and believe in the promise of tomorrow.

For our children. For our future. For a New Botswana.

Ooh, Rra Nametso. A mighty acacia tree has fallen. But even in its falling, it leaves shade, memory, and roots deep within the soil of the nation.

Thank you for your service. Thank you for your courage. Thank you for choosing life when fear threatened to prevail. Thank you for showing us that public life can still be honourable.
