Did you know that keeping your personal bank account separate from your business account can save you hours of stress during tax season?
Once upon a time, there was a businessman named Mr. Thabo. Thabo owned a busy shop, but he had one big problem: he hated rules and he hated resolutions.
On New Yearโs Day, his friends said, "Thabo, make a resolution to fix your business money!"
Thabo just laughed. "Resolutions are for losers!" he shouted. "I keep my receipts in my heart, not in a book!"
By March, Thaboโs "heart" was failing him. His office looked like a paper storm had hit it. He kept his money in empty shoe boxes, under his car seat, and sometimes even in his socks.
One afternoon, a supplier called. "Thabo, you owe me 10,000 P**a!" Thabo looked in his left sock. He found a half-eaten biscuit and a 5-cent coin. He looked in his shoe box. He found a dry sandwich and a bill from 2019.
"I am rich in paper, but poor in cash!" Thabo cried. He was so frustrated that he tried to pay his electricity bill with a bag of lemons. It didn't work. His lights went out, and he sat in the dark, crying over a pile of messy receipts.
Just then, there was a knock on the door. In walked a group of people wearing sharp suits and carrying shiny laptops. They looked like superheroes, but with calculators.
"Who are you?" Thabo asked.
"We are The Accounting Masters," they replied. "We heard a man was trying to pay bills with fruit."
They didn't waste time. They jumped into the paper storm. They sorted the shoe boxes, scanned the receipts, and balanced the books. They found money Thabo didn't even know he had! They turned his mess into a beautiful, neat digital system.
By 2026, Thaboโs business was booming. He wasn't stressed anymore, and he finally stopped keeping money in his socks.
Now, whenever someone asks Thabo about his New Yearโs resolution, he smiles and says, "My resolution is simple: Stay organized, and always call The Accounting Masters!"
