2* Inspector of Works for the following projects under “Consultancy Services for Monitoring/Supervision of a Pilot Project for area wide output and performance-based road contracts (OPRC) for a network size of about 335 km in Botswana
Package 1
Lot 1 Mmankgodi Junction to Kanye (Sejelo Junction with A2)
Lot 2 Kanye Sejelo Junction A2 to Jwaneng Circle

Package 2
Lot 1 Rakhuna Junction – Tlhareseleele – Pitsane – Phitshane Molopo – Mabule
Lot 2 Construction of 57km of Access Road in the Barolong Area
Lot 3 Completion of the MC Office and houses in Goodhope

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Outlined below are some of the specific tasks for the Inspector of Works.
• Inspect all field work as directed by the Highway Engineer.
• Assistance in field measurements.
• Report on everyday operations, plant breakdowns, and the Contractor labour deployment.
• Checking and approving contractor’s work as directed by the resident engineer.
• Carrying out laboratory testing for Quality Control.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Degree or a Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent, registered Engineer/Technician with ERB-Botswana. 8 years of post-graduate experience in road construction of roads projects.
