We are thrilled to announce that Diamond Trading Company Botswana (DTC Botswana) will be the Diamond Sponsor for the Future of Mining Summit 2026, taking place on 29–30 June 2026 at Boipuso Hall, Gaborone, under the theme: “Mining for Transformation: Economic Diversification and Shared Prosperity.”

DTC Botswana is committed to fostering a robust, sustainable, and profitable downstream diamond industry in Botswana through world-class sorting and valuation processes. Upon arrival from mining operations, diamonds are meticulously sorted and classified according to carat weight, cut, clarity, and colour - the four key characteristics commonly known as the 4Cs.

Aligned with both Botswana’s economic transformation agenda and the theme of the summit, we sit at the centre of opportunities for mineral beneficiation, value addition, and value chain development within the country’s diamond industry. We provide a strong platform for exploring opportunities such as contract sorting services for rough diamond producers beyond Botswana, expansion into cutting and polishing activities, and strategic partnerships with retailers and other participants across the downstream diamond value chain.

Last weekend, the DTC Botswana Sports and Social Club - The Gems - demonstrated the true power of sport to forge bonds and elevate community spirit. Their spirited journey to Morupule Mine for the annual corporate social event epitomized teamwork, resilience, and shared purpose.

Showcasing passion and dedication the - Gem Masters - team clinched a medal in a display of unwavering commitment. This achievement symbolizes more than victory; it represents the growing partnership between DTC Botswana Sports and Social Club and the Magala Sporting Club.

In a remarkable gesture of community service, both clubs have pledged to host a charity tournament on June 28th, aiming to uplift underprivileged groups. Such initiatives emphasize sport’s vibrant role as a catalyst for social good.

The weekend featured intense competitions across disciplines:

⚽ Football: Gem Masters 2 vs. Magala Masters 1
🏐 Netball: Magala Ladies 28 vs. Gem Babes 14
🎱 Pool: Magala secured 3 wins to Gem's 1
