A Reflection on Our Most Recent Theatrical Endeavor — *Exploring the Tale of Ahmed De Geer* 🎭

Theatre has always been more than performance; it is memory made visible, history spoken aloud, and the courage to ask questions that linger long after the curtain falls. Our recent journey into the story of Ahmed De Geer became exactly that — a meeting point between imagination and truth, between heritage and ambition.

☎️In shaping this work, we found ourselves reflecting not only on a character, but on the spirit of perseverance that defines young artists finding their voice in a changing world. Each rehearsal became a conversation about identity, responsibility, and what it truly means to carry stories across borders. Ahmed’s tale invited us to confront vulnerability, resilience, and the quiet strength required to stand before an audience and say, “This is who we are.”

🌍 is not simply about traveling to another stage; it is about carrying Botswana’s stories into new spaces, allowing them to breathe among different audiences, cultures, and perspectives. Every movement, every word, and every silence holds the echoes of home.

This production reminded us that theatre is a bridge — one that connects generations, nations, and dreams. Through Ahmed’s story, we celebrate the artists who dare to imagine beyond limitation and the communities that continue to believe in the power of storytelling as both preservation and transformation.

To Kenya, we come with open hearts and grateful spirits. May this story travel far, spark dialogue, and remind us all that art, at its best, is a shared journey.

SECOND INTERNATIONAL SHOW SUCCESS! 🇧🇼🌍
What a powerful moment for Dramatic Scholars! Dikgang Tsa Bagolo: Ngwana Mme has just completed its second international showcase, and we couldn’t be prouder. From Makhanda to Nairobi, our story continues to travel, resonate, and uplift the voices of Botswana on global stages.

We made history as the first Botswana theatre company to perform at KITFest—receiving overwhelming love, praise, and connection from artists, directors, and audiences across the world. Each performance reminds us why we tell these stories: to honour our history, celebrate our resilience, and share Botswana’s voice with the world.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey—from our creative team to our partners, collaborators, and the audiences who welcomed us with open hearts.

Here’s to many more stages, more stories, and more moments that bring Botswana to the world.
Re a leboga. We celebrate this win together. 🎭✨
