JCNP Member Groups “Move On” from Annual Government Junkanoo Parades, Launching a New Organic Junkanoo Experience

Nassau, Bahamas :The Junkanoo Corporation New Providence (JCNP) announces today its decision to move forward from its traditional role as managers of the annual Boxing Day and New Year’s Day Junkanoo Parades, following the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture’s recent decision to remove the JCNP midway through the 2025 Junkanoo season a move that disrupted months of planning and sponsorship development.

The JCNP is calling all Junkanooers, fans, and supporters to join them in a service of thanksgiving and praise, 10am this Sunday November 2nd at Bethel Baptist Church, Meeting Street.
