When people cannot answer biblical arguments, they often stop debating the position and start attacking the person.

Instead of answering Scripture with Scripture, they resort to subtle character attacks:
“You’re proud.”
“You need prayer.”
“You aren’t qualified.”
“You don’t know enough.”

That is argumentum ad hominem - attacking the man instead of addressing the argument.

Truth is not determined by degrees, credentials, or spiritual posturing. It is determined by the Word of God.

If someone cannot refute your argument from Scripture and must instead discredit your character, they have already abandoned the debate.
