Long Distance Racing Pigeons

If you want to achieve something in pigeon sport, and more specific on the extreme long distance flight Barcelona (1100km), you have to dare to invest.
Does it give a guarantee? No far from, but if there are so many toppers in 1 pedigree you do have a bit more chance seems to me.
So yesterday at the auction of Gouden Vleugel - Brugse Barcelona Club on P**A we bought a pigeon with the best Barcelona blood in its pedigree.
In this pedigree a.o.:

"Invictus": 1st European ace Marathon 2015
"Quatro 4" : 1st international ace Barcelona-Perpignan 2013-2014
1st international ace Barcelona-Perpignan 2013-2015

"New Laureate": 1st national Barcelona 2013

Our 2023 racing season is almost over. The focus is on 3 international flights, and 2 of the 3 have already been raced.
On Agen, (863km) 4 old and 37 yearlings were entered. The following results were achieved:
8-13-24-30-57-76-92-106-121-155-166-168-170-204-241-296-304 (17/37 from 945 yearlings prov Antwerp)
32 (1/4 from 645 old birds prov Antwerpen)
On Barcelona 29 pigeons were entered and the following result was achieved:
14-30-31-43-62-70-75-96-108-145-164-197-219-247-258-278 (16/29 from 850 old birds prov Antwerpen)

The investments of the past few years and the hard work of my brother Koen are being rewarded!

2 pigeons on Barcelona which are worth (extra) mentioning:
BE18-6023706 who now won 3 out of 3 on Barcelona and now is 26th best pigeon in Belgium on Barcelona 2021-2022-2023
BE20-6161411 who now won 2 out of 2 on Barcelona and now is 24th best pigeon of Belgium on Barcelona 2022-2023.

Only 1 more flight to go for us, Narbonne 917km, and we hope to continue the good results!
