What happens when you hand over the keys to Gumption for a day to a young talent? We found out last week. Norah, the 7-year-old daughter of our Resource Manager Iris Snoeck, stepped in as our CEO for a day.

Norah got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at our community, met with our business leaders, and dove straight into what entrepreneurship at Gumption is all about. From inspiring conversations to sharp observations, our interim CEO held her own. With a fresh perspective, smart questions and an overwhelming dose of curiosity, she made us look at our way of working through a different lens

“This is why I love my employer" said Iris. "What started as my daughter’s curiosity turned into a full day as Gumption’s CEO. She had a blast and learned about leadership, teamwork, and the magic of office snacks.”

And honestly? We were impressed. As Norah herself put it: "A CEO has to work together, make decisions, and help people."

The good news: we’re making this a tradition. From now on, every summer, one child will take on the role of CEO ad interim. Applications for the next edition open in April 2026. Stay tuned!
