Jan Rigo

The time has come to say goodbye to Jaen. :-)

I’m changing my artist name to Jan Rigo, which is my first name and the last name of my mother.

NYE will be my last gig as Jaen, and I’m making the change to Jan Rigo at the start of 2026.

The reason is simple, yet personal. Jaen was a beautiful journey. I explored, searched, learned and got to experience many sides of the scene. But somewhere along the way, I lost myself a little.

Shifting back to what matters most was fantastic for my mental health & body. I learned to listen again. Craft what’s close to my heart. Dance on what moves my feet.

The communities, record stores, clubs, … were so important during this time ( and still are!! ).

At some point, Jaen no longer reflected that feeling. And for me, a name has to represent the person behind it.

Jan Rigo feels closer.

The music moves forward under Jan Rigo. Past releases under Jaen stay where they belong. Except for .17 , which I’ll keep building with the same love.
