Komplot is delighted to welcome Petticoat Government for the Chapter Vinyl

Selected for the Belgian Pavilion at the 60th Venice Biennale in 2024, the collective composed of Denicolai & Provoost, Antoinette Jattiot, Nord architectes, et Spec uloos, together with a wide network of artists and collaborators, developed Petticoat Government, a multi-chapter scenario populated by giants drawn from European folk traditions. Presented as a looped screening alongside a 12-metre inflatable Kutch, the half-hour musical film retraces this joyful collective adventure.

Gazpacho will be served throughout the evening!

The vinyle record will also be available for purchase during the opening hours.

Last Sunday, 19 April, we gathered for an afternoon of artist conversations on dreaming images.

Bringing together Natalija Gucheva, Agata Ingarden, Minne Kersten, and Julia Trรถscher, the event connected two exhibitions, tracing how each practice gives form to the invisible realms of the mind: its shifting landscapes of fear, desire, and imagination, in resonance with influential writings and auto-theoretical reflections.

The first conversation brought Gucheva and Ingarden into dialogue around character-building, storytelling, and f(r)iction, moderated by assistant curator Charlotte Frenay. After a short break with coffee and cake, Kersten and Trรถscher continued with a discussion on the spectralโ€”phantasmagoria, metaphor, and elusive symbolsโ€”moderated by curator Koi Persyn.

This event explored shared synergies between the exhibitions ๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ฑ๐˜ฑ๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜จ๐˜ฉ curated by Camille Van Meenen at Komplot and ๐˜”๐˜–๐˜›๐˜ฉ๐˜š curated by Koi Persyn at the Chapel of Boondael, unfolding within celadorโ€™s third space, situated between both venues.

Both ๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ฑ๐˜ฑ๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜จ๐˜ฉ and ๐˜”๐˜–๐˜›๐˜ฉ๐˜š are part of the Off Programme, and are open this week from Thursday until Sunday. Make sure to go for a visit!
