According to WHO " Adolescence is a crucial period for developing and maintaining social and emotional habits important for mental well being."
EHDS invited Prof. Zaheda Sharmin, Department of Political Studies, SUST, ICCR scholar and the US State alumna to speak about emotional and mental changes in adolescence. She counselled them for effective maintenance of the spirit and power of this important stage of life. She stressed the need of physical exercise, sports, problem solving skills, managing emotions, participating in cultural events, joining youth organizations related to their hobbies and interests. She advised the students to reach out to parents, teachers and friends including her for any challenges they find difficult to handle.
