আল্লাহ তা‘আলা বলেন,

وَمِنْ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَشْتَرِي لَهْوَ الْحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًا أُولَئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُهِيْنٌ-

‘এক শ্রেণীর লোক আছে যারা মানুষকে আল্লাহর পথ থেকে ভ্রান্ত করার উদ্দেশ্যে অন্ধভাবে গান-বাজনা ও বাদ্যযন্ত্র সংগ্রহ করে এবং তা নিয়ে ঠাট্টা বিদ্রূপ করে এদের জন্য রয়েছে অবমাননাকর শাস্তি’ (লুক্বমান ৬)।
Allah Ta'ala says;
There is a class of people who blindly collect music and musical instruments to mislead people from the path of Allah and make fun of them, for them is a humiliating punishment' (Lukman 6).

عَنْ أَبِيْ مَالِكِ الأَشْعَرِىِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيَكُوْنَنَّ مِنْ أُمَّتِي أَقْوَامٌ يَسْتَحِلُّوْنَ الْحِرَ وَالْحَرِيْرَ وَالْخَمْرَ وَالْمَعَازِفَ.

রাসূল (ছাঃ) বলেন, ‘অবশ্যই অবশ্যই আমার পরে এমন কিছু লোক আসবে যারা যেনা, রেশম, নেশাদার দ্রব্য ও গান-বাজনা বাদ্যযন্ত্রকে হালাল মনে করবে’ (বুখারী হা/৫৫৯০)।

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Indeed, there will certainly be some people after me who will consider jinna, silk, intoxicants and music and musical instruments as lawful" (Bukhari Ha/5590).
