Field Visit to Lahirimohanpur, Ullapara – Exploring Climate & Disaster Risk Insurance

Our team from Republic Insurance PLC visited the Lahirimohanpur livestock cluster with several partner organizations to learn how we can support small dairy farmers with Climate and Disaster Risk Financing & Insurance (CDRFI).
The ACCESS Project, run by SBKS and FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN), has formed six farmer groups with over 100 dairy farmers each, many of them women. Since the project requires the support of insurance and risk management, the visit was an important first step to explore possible insurance solutions together.
