জৈবিক বৈচিত্র্যের জন্য আন্তর্জাতিক দিবস (বা বিশ্ব জীববৈচিত্র্য দিবস) হল একটি জাতিসংঘ-মঞ্জুরিকৃত আন্তর্জাতিক দিবস যা জীববৈচিত্র্য বিষয়ের প্রচারের জন্য। এটি বর্তমানে 22 মে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।
জৈবিক বৈচিত্র্যের জন্য আন্তর্জাতিক দিবসটি জাতিসংঘের 2015-পরবর্তী উন্নয়ন এজেন্ডার টেকসই উন্নয়ন লক্ষ্যমাত্রার মধ্যে পড়ে। আন্তর্জাতিক সহযোগিতার এই বৃহত্তর উদ্যোগে, জীববৈচিত্র্যের বিষয়টি টেকসই কৃষিতে স্টেকহোল্ডারদের উদ্বেগজনক; মরুকরণ, জমির অবক্ষয় এবং খরা; জল এবং স্যানিটেশন; স্বাস্থ্য এবং টেকসই উন্নয়ন; শক্তি; বিজ্ঞান, প্রযুক্তি এবং উদ্ভাবন, জ্ঞান ভাগাভাগি এবং সক্ষমতা বৃদ্ধি; শহুরে স্থিতিস্থাপকতা এবং অভিযোজন; টেকসই পরিবহন; জলবায়ু পরিবর্তন এবং দুর্যোগ ঝুঁকি হ্রাস; মহাসাগর এবং সমুদ্র; বন; আদিবাসী সহ দুর্বল গোষ্ঠী; এবং খাদ্য নিরাপত্তা। টেকসই উন্নয়নে জীববৈচিত্র্যের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা একটি Rio+20 ফলাফল নথিতে স্বীকৃত হয়েছে, “The World We Want: A Future For All”।

The International Day for Biological Diversity (or World Biodiversity Day) is a United Nations–sanctioned international day for the promotion of biodiversity issues. It is currently held on May 22.
The International Day for Biological Diversity falls within the scope of the UN Post-2015 Development Agenda's Sustainable Development Goals. In this larger initiative of international cooperation, the topic of biodiversity concerns stakeholders in sustainable agriculture; desertification, land degradation and drought; water and sanitation; health and sustainable development; energy; science, technology and innovation, knowledge-sharing and capacity-building; urban resilience and adaptation; sustainable transport; climate change and disaster risk reduction; oceans and seas; forests; vulnerable groups including indigenous peoples; and food security. The critical role of biodiversity in sustainable development was recognized in a Rio+20 outcome document, “The World We Want: A Future for All”.
From its creation by the Second Committee of the UN General Assembly in 1993 until 2000, it was held on December 29 to celebrate the day the Convention on Biological Diversity went into effect. On December 20, 2000, The date was shifted to commemorate the adoption of the Convention on May 22, 1992, at the Rio de Janeiro Earth Summit, and partly to avoid the many other holidays that occur in late December.

জাতিসংঘের মতে প্রতি বছর ২১ মে আন্তর্জাতিক চা দিবস পালন করা হয়। 21শে ডিসেম্বর, 2019-এ সম্পর্কিত রেজোলিউশনটি গৃহীত হয়েছিল এবং দিবসটি পালনে নেতৃত্ব দেওয়ার জন্য জাতিসংঘের খাদ্য ও কৃষি সংস্থাকে (এফএও) আহ্বান জানায়।

ভারত, শ্রীলঙ্কা, নেপাল, ভিয়েতনাম, ইন্দোনেশিয়া, বাংলাদেশ, কেনিয়া, মালাউই, মালয়েশিয়া, উগান্ডা এবং তানজানিয়ার মতো চা উৎপাদনকারী দেশগুলিতে 2005 সাল থেকে 15 ডিসেম্বর একটি আন্তর্জাতিক চা দিবস পালিত হচ্ছে। আন্তর্জাতিক চা দিবসের লক্ষ্য শ্রমিক এবং চাষীদের উপর বিশ্বব্যাপী চা বাণিজ্যের প্রভাবের প্রতি সরকার এবং নাগরিকদের বিশ্বব্যাপী দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করা এবং মূল্য সমর্থন এবং ন্যায্য বাণিজ্যের অনুরোধের সাথে যুক্ত করা হয়েছে।

International Tea Day is observed annually on May 21, according to the United Nations. The concerning resolution was adopted on December 21, 2019, and calls on the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to lead the observance of the Day.
The International Tea Day aims to raise awareness of the long history and the deep cultural and economic significance of tea around the world. The goal of the day is to promote and foster collective actions to implement activities in favour of the sustainable production and consumption of tea and raise awareness of its importance in fighting hunger and poverty.
An International Tea Day has been celebrated on December 15, since 2005, in tea producing countries like India, Srilanka, Nepal, Vietnam, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Kenya, Malawi, Malaysia, Uganda and Tanzania. International Tea Day aims to draw global attention of governments and citizens to the impact of the global tea trade on workers and growers, and has been linked to requests for price supports and fair trade.

বিশ্ব সাংস্কৃতিক বৈচিত্র্য সংলাপ ও উন্নয়ন দিবস (World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development) প্রতি বছর ২১ মে পালন করা হয়।
বিভিন্ন সংস্কৃতি, ভাষা, ধর্ম ও ঐতিহ্যের মধ্যে পারস্পরিক শ্রদ্ধা, সম্প্রীতি এবং শান্তিপূর্ণ সহাবস্থান নিশ্চিত করার লক্ষ্যেই জাতিসংঘ এই দিবসটি উদযাপন করে থাকে।

দিবসটি সম্পর্কে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কিছু তথ্য নিচে দেওয়া হলো:

• নাম: বাংলায় দিবসটি ‘বিশ্ব সাংস্কৃতিক বৈচিত্র্য সংলাপ ও উন্নয়ন দিবস’ নামে পরিচিত।

• ইতিহাস: ইউনেস্কো ২০০১ সালে সাংস্কৃতিক বৈচিত্র্য সংরক্ষণে একটি ঘোষণা প্রদান করে। এরপর ২০০২ সালে জাতিসংঘ ২১ মে-কে আন্তর্জাতিক দিবস হিসেবে স্বীকৃতি দেয়।

• উদ্দেশ্য: সাংস্কৃতিক পার্থক্যকে বিভেদ নয়, বরং শক্তি হিসেবে তুলে ধরা এবং বিশ্বব্যাপী সংলাপ ও সহযোগিতা বৃদ্ধি করা।
