On December 16, 1971, a 24-year-long darkness ended, and a new dawn broke over the Bengali nation. The chains of domination were shattered, and the glow of victory spread from one end of the country to the other, marking the birth of free Bangladesh. Today, we honor that glorious moment and the countless sacrifices that made it possible.
