Job brief:
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to test APIs and Front-end functionalities for modern applications and products.
Responsibilities will include creating and maintaining test cases for both backend and front end of any application. You will work with the Tech team and along with the Product team, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application will perfectly perform. If you also have a repository of projects that includes work with web/mobile applications, we’d like to meet you.
Ultimately, you’ll create both functional and productive test cases and maintain the quality of the products that address our clients’ needs and help us grow our customer base.

Details:
• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on tests and debugging.
• Write documentation of the functional aspects and manuals of web applications.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications.
• Report and document bugs and errors, help finding the issues.
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to deliver full functional and pixel perfect products.
• Collaborate with Back-end developers to test APIs and document them.
• Collaborate with Leads about release plans and sprint plannings, providing inputs and suggestions.
• Design, develop and execute scripts for automated tests.
• Gather and address technical and design requirements.
• Liaise with customers, developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features.
• Learning to adapt to any framework or library necessary to improve product implementation.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Public Git repository (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket) of projects.
• Flexible for the right candidates with proper knowledge.
• Proper knowledge of Software development lifecycle and quality assurance methodologies.
• Proper knowledge of Ad-hoc, Functional and Smoke testing.
• Proper knowledge of structured technical documentation.
• Proper knowledge of Agile/Scrum development process.
• Basic knowledge of automated testing tools.
• Basic knowledge of SoC (separation of concerns).
• Basic knowledge of Node and related package managers (npm or yarn).
• Basic ideas on databases (Relational and NoSQL).
• Some working knowledge on Javascript.
• Proficient in using an IDE (VS Code) and Terminal.
• Basic knowledge of working with Git.
• Basic knowledge of working with GitHub/GitLab issues.
• Up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.
• Knowledge of team collaboration services (eg. Slack, Trello etc.) to communicate properly with the team.
• Awareness of other languages and how they work.
