A dialogue and exhibition event titled “She Leads the Weave: Advancing Gender Equity and Women’s Leadership in Bangladesh’s Ready-Made Garments (RMG) Sector” was held at Dhaka. The event was organised by Swisscontact under the Promoting Green Growth in the Ready-Made Garments Sector through Skills (PROGRESS) project, funded by the Embassy of Sweden and the Embassy of Switzerland.
Bringing together more than 150 participants—including women supervisors, factory officials, private sector actors, advisory service providers, and development partners,—the event highlighted the importance of empowering women across all levels of the RMG workforce.

Bogura Municipality organized a regional campaign and seminar on Local Economic Development and the Role of Municipalities. The event was held on Monday (25 August 2025) at Shaheed Titu Auditorium. During the occasion, a three-day training workshop on Local Economic Development was also inaugurated for 60 officials and business representatives from 11 municipalities in the Bogura district.

The campaign was supported by PRABRIDDHI, a Local Economic Development (LED) project, funded by the Governments of Bangladesh and Switzerland, co-implemented by the Local Government Division (LGD) and Swisscontact Bangladesh.
